Jeanie Tengelsen Gallery - the BIG Picture

Rejected 9 Mar 2026

‘Step Back & Squint’ 36” x 48” acrylic on canvas

This is hurt.

Maybe because it’s the 5th? 6th? in the last 3 months to be rejected. It’s exhausting being so regularly rejected. Salt will be rubbed in the wound as I’m volunteering to work with the curator helping with accepting delivery of artworks and then installation in late March.

I enjoyed working this large. I bought 2 more canvases in this size so we’ll see what happens with that.

Hopefully soon there’s a call for large cartoony multi-portraits and I’ll be golden.

The prospectus was very open as the only requirements were that the shortest size was at least 36”.
